Wish List

Christmas 2024

I had never notice the details of the large scale windows at the front of the church until I was asked to paint a Christmas image around the the theme, “Wish List.” I experienced ebbs and flows of anxiety, excitement, and joy throughout the assembling of items for each window panel. I chose to use a combination of graphic prints to make window clings, along with 3D props and lights. As I made each installation I realized the windows had a smokey tint (which meant I needed to use primarily white lettering and larger, brighter lights). Nevertheless, I am very grateful for my first-time experiences of designing a Christmas wreath and large scale window display, as well as collecting financial donations.

My purpose was to create a public art display to bring cheer to a community seeking healing and celebration during the holidays and help reshape minds and hearts for the goodness of the Gospel. I trust that I have accomplished God’s will to bless others with the gifts and talents He has given me.
