In the beginning, God created a bunch of visual art. And He called it good. When challenged, Jesus stooped down and scratched on the ground to process what the Heavenly Father was saying to Him. During an ancient Sukkot, out of the heart of those who believed, the Holy Spirit flowed like a river and the people were moved. Likewise, we can respond the same way today through creative processes that can deepen our faith and draw us nearer to God. No matter your artistic expression or skill level, God will love it and accept it as worship when we give back to Him the gift He has given us—the ability to co-create. We are all created in His image (He is Elohim—the “Creator” of the world), which means we are all artistic; whether we enjoy drawing stick figures, writing poetry, acting, landscaping, cooking and plating food, or building sculptures from recycled products. Isn’t that cool to know that we can create with God and have fun doing it?

The words that flowed from my core in my first published booklet of poems are shockingly wonderful and entertaining to me. I hope you will enjoy them too.
